My thanks go to Fudge... She kindly sent me scans of her own pictures collection. Actually, she used to see The God Machine as often as possible. She travelled abroad with friends (like Stella Gerecke who was a professional photographer for Melody Maker and other rock magazines) and would sometimes go on her own for the gigs outside London. The result of these miscellaneous experiences is an amazing blend of pure live energy, touring backstage and complicity moments. Years passed, souvenirs stay. Now, Fudge would like to share a bit of these unforgettable memories with all The God Machine fans... big respect.

Hello !

Welcome to this brand new "Sunday Velvet": new URL, new content (and no more annoying banners) ! I hope you’ll like it as I worked hard on this new version.

About the new content: Robin found quite a bit of the old God Machine press/reviews/interviews when he was going through his storage space in London before touring in October 2004... and he thought of me. Several gigs and e-mails later, June 30th in Basel (CH), we met again and he kindly gave this press-pack to me. According to Robin, I am free to use it as I want to before handing it back to him. I was deeply touched and still feel truly honoured by his trust in me.

So, as these photocopied articles represent a very significant part of his life with Jimmy and Austin, I decided to take good care of this stuff and I’d like to believe that "Sunday Velvet" will be a safe place for them. Yes, there are pictures to be seen, there are words to be read, there is a story to be told... but most at all, there are songs to be heard and a friend to be remembered...

Once again, this website has always been conceived as a tribute to three "brothers" who made beautiful and emotional music that still means so much to us...

Please, don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have anything (anecdotes, interviews, original images, reviews, tour dates, ...) that’s not yet featured on this website. Some scans were made from b&w photocopies. So, if you have better pictures, get in touch ! "Sunday Velvet" is nothing without die-hard God Machine fans. I owe a lot to many of you...

Thanks to all those who still believe.

Frédéric Aellen, Clarens (CH)
